The Swedish Dressage rider Minna Telde rode like a star in the Tapiola International Dressage Freestyle Final with her promising Deinhardt. It was the horse’s first ever Kür, and the couple won the class with 73 percent.
- I am really happy with my horse. He was a bit shy on Thursday, but today we were both more secure. We had really nice piaffe and passage, but he´s still a beginner; it was his first Kür, said Telde.
The second was the winner of Thursday’s Grand Prix, Aat von Essen with Premier (70.95%).
- Our piaff and passage were better, but we had some mistakes too. I have had Premier since it was five and a half years, so I know him quite well. Me and my horse, we are both leaders and it can cause problems, but when the co-operation works, it's great, commented van Essen after his ride.
The best Finnish rider was Alexandra Malmström with MD Waterford (65.77%).
- We started up great in the trot, but we had many mistakes in canter. Now I just have to listen up the advices judges give me, and take note, said Malmström who came to Finland from Germany where she trains.
